Following the cancellation of last year’s event at Black Rock City, Nevada, the team behind Burning Man have implemented a few initiatives to keep the fires burning.
Last year they launched the virtual events platform Kindling and its online Multiverse, followed by a documentary all about the art at Burning Man.
In January this year, Burning Man’s organisers declared that it is “impossible to say right now” if the festival would go ahead this year.
The announcement of 2021 theme “Terra Incognita”, meaningful “unknown land” seems to tie in with the continued sense of uncertainty for the event
Stuart Mangrum, director of the Philosophical Center of Burning Man Project explained
